Been a long winter and spring
« on: April 20, 2010 - 03:38:18 PM »
Hi folks!

It's been a very long and bad winter for me.   :swear:  Nothing I need to air here right now so please bare with me.  I think it's been close to 4 months since I was around the site. I've missed you folks so for better or worse you're now stuck with me again. i trust that all have been doing fine. We have all the cars out of storage and finally took the T/A for a drive. That was fun while it lasted. We are coming to Carlisle this year with the T/A for the 40Th reunion. Hoping to see you folks there again.     So what did I miss while me absence? I hope not too much cause I still think this is the best forum on the web.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the concerns buddy. We got to around 38 feet and change this year. The flood stage for the Red River is around 18 feet. There was a lot of flood work done last summer so it helped a bunch. The officials were getting nerves. But the thing that saved our bacon is NO rain during the thaw cycles. I guess to let a little out ......... my health hasn't been to good for the past two years and this winter it was really bad. the good thing is we will be grand parents soon!!!!! Nicole is supposed to have it on May 12 ( our 31st Anniversary) But she was at the clinic last night and was having contractions. They got that stopped but it is looking close. Nancy thought we would be GPs last night but I guess not.

Hi....Yes we will be there on Saturday only. We are holding back because we are taking the T/A to Carlisle for the Trans Am reunion. It's not cheep for us as it's around 1800 miles one way.  Lots of food, rooms and fuel involved. If there are some members getting together please let us know.

Hi Lunch,

Ya we will be doing some of those Broadway cruises. It's my only chance to get a Sammy's pizza!   :woohoo:   I'm going to try to get the Duster presentable enough to take it. I just picked up 5 gallons of 114 oct gas for the 70 T/A. $6.99 per gal so we don't drive it so much. Glad you got back safe from the other side of the world.

Ken, hello and nice to hear from you again!
Good to hear that you've fired up the T/A and I'm glad to hear you will bring it with you to Carlisle. It would have been fun to meet up with you again and especially fun because of the 40th reunion this year. But money and travel time ...  and we've got other plans this summer. I wish all the best and hope you won't experience any trouble roadside.

T/Ake care,
Roar
