1971 barracuda wiper switch with washer

hello,,,question,,i have a 71 barracuda with the variable speed 077 motor and electric washer..yearone 71 harness..wiper switch 2770380.when plugging in to the harness to the switch,,1 multi cluster and 1 2-cluster,,theres 1 spade still left standing without a mate??its the one with a long flat lead to it??the manual does not show this lead???any thoughts??thanks tony

Welcome to CC.com. Good eye.

That (B/U) terminal is on the after side of an internal circuit breaker and continues power on through the circuit board. The before side of the circuit breaker is the (B) terminal. There is a barb sticking out on the (B/U) blade where there is usually a hole on other blades so you can't connect a female spade on it.

It does not make an external connection, but can be used as a test point to see if something is causing that breaker to open ahead of it.

thanks for the reply,,i figured that it probably would not be used at this point espeacially since there is no lead to plug onto it.one would think chrysler's shop manual would have mentioned something about it..tony :clueless:
