Great, thanks for the info.  Any recommendations as far as mixing/matching the front bar to this particular rear?  Do you know which diameter bar would have normally been paired with the TA rear bar?

to my knowledge the T/A would use the larger front bar , Alaskan T/A / Barry would know for sure
 Members Like HP2 would have better knowledge on the best mix of bar sizes

I like big rates and I'm a cheap skate, so I usually end to go 1.125 up front because they are widely available for cheap. Out back you can use either the factory style mount in .75 or the under axle mount in .875 (some are as big as .95) There is only about 50# of rate difference between the two sizes because of differences in end links mounting. You always want more rate up front because it carries more load than the rear. I like the larger than stock sizes because most of  us tend to value cornering more these days than we did 40 ears ago.

There is nobody who is real cheap on 1.25 bars, although Firm Feel has one that will bolt in the stock position for $300.

The 1.125 can be found all over the place. Summit and Jegs typically have these for around $150 or less. You can find them on sale from other places for around $100 on occasion. Ebay has any number of them in the same $100 price range, although you can occasionally score them for even less or find them at swap meets really cheap.
