A little progress---
« on: May 09, 2010 - 01:49:56 PM »
Thought I would do a little update at where I am at with putting my car back together. It's the usual two steps forward-one step backwards. I cleaned up and repainted the motor/tranny. It was blue orig.(later production date) but I like the look of hemi orange better. Just need to get an intake, exhaust and valve cover gaskets and fire it up.   :bananasmi   Then all that is left is I need to get a windshield put in---license and insure it and I'm on the road.    :woo:    So close yet so far.   I spent all the car funds I had getting it painted. And work is still not improving much (construction related).  For the last year 1/2 I have only been working 10-20 hours a week so things have gotten really tight lately.   :crying:    With a little patience   :villagers:     I hope to be done soon.  I have been going to all the local car shows and the mopar/e bodies have been sadly under rated.  Our big mopar show is next month so I have a deadline I am shooting for but I am getting a bit frustrated not being done with this pig yet.   :bricks1:     OK--little rant over, here's a few pics.  Doug

Looks good  :ylsuper: I'm sort of in the same situation I spent all my money getting the car painted then I got married and progress on the car stopped I don't want to cut corners so it's taking longer then I want. Your getting close it is going to look great when you get it finished

Sure does look good.  I like how you shifted the motor to the right so you have clearance with the steering. :roflsmiley:
If I cant fix it, it's broke

Looks great Doug,  :2thumbs:  and it sure is hard to be patient, eh ?  I'm retired now and when even at my age ya got more time than money it crimps the car progress for sure.  :roflsmiley: But stay with it, each phase must come in order, like you I'm starting to progress a little at a time.
