    We are planning a BIG family vacation (25 members) to the Alabama coast this July, is the oil slick gonna effect the Alabama/Florida beaches?

    Not so far but i'll keep an ear to the ground. It's a shame as they are some of the cleanest beaches around :'(

    Who knows what it will be like in July...I heard something similar in the past occurred & the worst effect was the smell, as long as the slick does not get to the east that should not be an issue.
