I don't have a close up but this should be the correct number of clips, mine was a vinyl top car, not sure that makes any difference.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

My kit came with 21 clips and screws. I hope someone can come up with some close up pictures.     :-\

There are not any "set" locations for the clips and they differ slightly from car to car.

ntstlgl1970 picture show how many on top anh how many were on the sides and top.  Place you trim around the opening and mark were they come together, as you do not want a clip to sit exactly were the come together.  other than that just space them evenly around the window and you will be good to go.

Does the clip sit all the way down against the window lip?

Mine do. The top of the clip sit almost even with the top of the body, only about a 1/16th of an inch above the window frame.
