Hey guys, Just thought I'd share an experience for anyone looking to add a 5 speed to your car. I know this could possibly go in Transmission section but this is more about the friendly voice on the other end than technical information.
I have a 5 speed Tremec TKO 600 I bought from Keisler years back. Ive been having issues lately (see my post in trans/driveline section) and needed some help. I decided to call Hurst Drive line aka Classic Mopar 5-speed. I talked to a guy named Jim on the other end. Even though I made it perfectly clear I've never spent one penny with his company Jim was more then happy to help me out. He gave me some advice and pointed me towards some new parts that they use but don't sell. Point is his company still wont make any money off of me as I need to go straight to Ram Clutches to buy the parts.
Just wanted to give a plug to these guys and let any one who is considering buying a trans for their car that these guys are more than willing to help you out regardless of how much or little money you spent with them. Dont get me wrong, ive never had an issue with the service I received from Keisler, and the main reason I called these guys was for a second opinion.
