vinyl top question?

my car never came with a vinyl top and i was wanting to put one on it.i notice that some cars have a piece that goes around the back window..can you by them?or are some of you just puting them on without the piece?

I don't know if the trim is available or not but I would recommend you find it new or used and use it. If you go with the vinyl - make sure to use 3M Top & Trim Adhesive part # 08046. It is the most powerful contact adhesive available and I have tried them all over the years. Don't let the shop doing the install use ANYTHING out of a spray can. The 3M can be gun sprayed or rolled on but for uniformity I spray it on with my Binks 62 gun. You'll get better uniform adhesion if the 3M is sprayed on through a gun.
