Anyone cruised on Oasis of the Seas yet?
« on: April 29, 2010 - 10:58:44 PM »
After having booked a over a year ago, am finally into the last week before departing for our Caribbean cruise!!

It is going to be fabulous yet again I'm sure. I have heard lots of friends who have cruised and seen the ship and can't get over how big it is.

I assume you depart out of Ft Lauderdale?  I saw it there a couple weeks ago when we departed on a cruise on the Carnival Freedom.  Yes it is a huge ship!  I counted 100 balconies on one side with 8 level!!  800 per side!!    :ylsuper:

What ports are you going to??  I just went to Cozumel, Porto Rico and Panama . . .  :bananasmi

We are going to St Thomas, St Marten and Nassau.

Last Caribbean cruise was on the Liberty of the Seas, it was newest biggest in the world at that time and stopped in Labadee Haiti, Montego Bay Jamaica, GeorgeTown Grand Caymen and Cozumel. Had an awesome time in all those places. Was thinking Panama might be a enjoyable next cruise!  Ft Lauderdale is where its home port is.

Hey guys, I want to take the wife on an anniversary cruise next year, probably out of the Miami area since our daughter lives there. I told her it was her choice and she's undecided on where she wants to go. She is Cuban and originally from the Miami area (after leaving Cuba at 10 YOA). Any advice you could give me on cruise lines, ships, destinations (looking at a 6-7 night trip) and other tips would be great. We've never done a cruise before and I want to do it right for her, as it will be our 25th anniversary. Please PM me, as I don't want to hijack this thread.

I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean, The Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas both have 7 day cruises out of Miami. You get treated like royalty and everything is upscale. These are not party barges but a place for sensible people to have a great time!

Anyone ever cruised to Bermuda?  Was thinking about taking the wife but she is a little apprehensive so I figured Bermuda was a reasonably short trip.
