Door window Regulators.
« on: March 30, 2010 - 11:04:25 AM »
OK, I am in the process of removing my door window regulators. I am having a hard time getting them out of the doors. I was able to get one of them out. Could anyone tell me an easier way of getting these out? Also, When I go to reinstall them I want to clean them up and regrease them. What products do I use to clean them and regrease them. How can I get them back in the doors without scratching my paint? Any help would be appreciated.

Well i think the removal and install was thoroughly covered.   :roflsmiley:  But what was ever decided on for clean-up and re-grease?

Ditto with brake cleaner for the cleanup. I used NAPA spray grease afterward and all the regulators seem to work well. Only one problem - the driver's door started to rattle pretty bad and you could see the window bow out at speed as the pressure built up in the cabin. I was not happy and was about to tear the whole thing out when I opened the door and a bolt fell out of the bottom. Turns out the body shop forgot to tighten the bottom bolts and the whole shebang was floating around in there!  :bricks1:
