Going to the Great White North
« on: June 10, 2010 - 09:53:01 PM »
My wife and I are going to Canada to visit her family.  We will fly to Calgary on the 19th of June, spend a few days there & in Lethbridge, then drive with her sister to the Winnepeg area.  We fly home from Winnepeg on the 27th.  I would love to go to a car show up there if anybody knows of any, please let me know.

I hope for your sake that maybe someone up there will chisel out the ice to give you a good time at a car show.

:iagree: Sounds like most of their car shows require parkas and heavy duty ski runners mounted to the front end and chains on the drive wheels.  :smilielol: Well, that is what CP says about the great white north weather. Have fun and hopefully we will see some beautiful pics like you sent from the other side of the world, your becomming quite the traveler, sounds like a lot of fun  :2thumbs:  Maybe this time we'll see a couple nice "snow bunnies".  :bananasmi

Most car shows are typically on weekends when you appear to be doing your travelling.  The attached MAAC calendar give you an idea of what is happening in the Winnipeg area.

If you are in Winnepeg on a Sunday there is a huge cruise in at a resterant called The Pony Corral. I believe it starts at around 5:00 Pm. It's been a couple of years since I've been there. If it's not there, just ask around. I'm sure they still do it. The last time I was there it was large as there is a lot of car people in Winnepeg.
