340 6 pak -vs- Eddy performer rpm + 750 cfm carb
« on: June 12, 2010 - 02:58:09 AM »
I'm just thinking out loud here about my 340 build.  The 6 pack would run approx $1300 more than the Edelbrock performer RPM with a good carb in the 750 cfm range.  I am thinking it might be a worthwhile endeavor to spring for the extra bucks and get the SIX PAK.

I wouldn't mind loosing a few ponies to get the 3 duces, but too many might be a problem.  What would be the performance difference between the 2 setups?

no comparison the 6 pack will work better
better yet would be a RPM intake & a Proform or Holley HP 750 double pump

Thanks Chryco.  I edited it to indicate a Performer RPM.  Thats the one I have had my eye on.

I like the idea of the 6 pack. I guess it's the stories my dad told me as a kid about the T bucket with 3 deuces.   I wouldn't mind sacrificing a little hp for the 6 pack but if I am going to see really good gains from the performer rpm and good carb I might think otherwise.
