Big Block Dipsick
« on: July 18, 2002 - 10:14:52 PM »
Who makes a dipstick & tube that will work with a 440 and Comp Hooker Headers??? I have seen photos of one that goes underneath the headers instead of in between the pipes like the one I had from Year One. The one I had from YO will not work or fit.  >:(

I usually just get creative & bend or shorten to fit the application  ;)

For my 383 with Hookers, I was able to bend the factory dipstick to fit.

After much bending and cursing, the dipstick tube would not go in.  :'( It seems the tube itself is too big to fit in the block. I tried grinding the tube smaller where it goes into the block but that did not work, the only place it fits now is my garage wall. I got the tube from Year One a few years back. Has anyone had the same problem w/ Year Ones??? I am ordering the chrome one from WestOaks tomorrow. Thanks for the replys again.
