Wiper issues
« on: June 16, 2010 - 01:08:34 PM »
Wipers don't work on my 72 Challenger, never did from the day I brought it.  Anybody have any ideas where to start trouble shooting?  I don't want to start tearing things apart or buying expensive new parts if it's an easy fix.  Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks,

From a business to air force "brats" I'll send you to my site for some testing information and maybe that'll get us going in the right direction?

Question:  Two speed or three speed wiper motor here?  "Don't work"??  At all?  One speed and no park?  Can I get some more details on this problem??

Check here for bench testing instructions:  http://www.passion4mopars.com/pages/3speedbenchtest

Didn't know if we were working with 2 or 3 speed here, I made an assumption   :faint:

Check the ground at the firewall, mine didn't work at all either until I cleaned the ground connections.

A good place to start it the bottom of the switch panel and the gauge cluster. There are 2 screws that go in to hold the bottom on. One of them is ground. If it is missing, your wipers won't work.  Make sure you have both in there to be sure that your getting the right one.

The one closest to the driver's door.
