I bought a door hinge rebuild kit from year one but it didnt come with any instructions. I got new pins and some bushings. Has anyone rebuilt their hinges?

I did mine, the hardest part was rehanging the doors! BTW, the YO kit is a rip-off! You can go to the local Car Quest and buy the pins and bushings individually for a fraction of what they charge.

Tops were cake if the holes are good, just put in the new bushing & pin, the bottoms you can just use the pin if the holes are tight, to add the bushings you have to drill out the holes, I drilled one set, kinda awkward the way the bushings go in, so I did aniothe r(tight) set with just new pins.(oh yea, only drill the middle holes, not the outers! ) Rich.

NZ, understatement, those puppies weigh a ton, I was surprised when I helped a friend hang 69 charger doors, they were MUCH lighter, I would have thought the opposite!  :dontknow: Rich.

You should have seen Red and I taking them down from the rafters... :ack:  Quite a site.  I don't know how we ever got them up there.
