When I restored my '70 Challenger 440 Six-Pack it did not have (in the tons of boxes) an idle solenoid. I have since acquired a working, correct solenoid. Now I can't seem to find out how this critter is supposed to work. Can anyone give me a brief rundown on the following:
1. Does the solenoid extend/retract with key on/off?
2. Where on the wiring harness should I look for the wire and what color should it be?
3. I think I understand the function (to close the throttle blades to avoid deiseling) but any further info would be appreciated.
4. Do I really need this rascal part? I would like to install it to retain originality.
