z bar

I'm installing the engine and transmission as a unit with a cherry picker. The z bar is already attached to the bell housing. IS this correct? can I just slide the z bar on to  he ball on the frame rail? Does the plastic bushings go on the ball on the frame rail first? I have never installed bushings in a z bar so I'm not sure what order they go on.

I wouldn't try it with the z bar on, prolly cause more hangups than you'd want to deal with. As far as installing the bushings, when I did mine I stuck the halves onto the ball with grease and slide the tranny side in first, then with the frame side ball removed from the frame, grease the ball, stick on bushings, insert ball into z bar then work the ball threads into the frame spot and viola, installed z.

I am sure someone else will chime in here as I am NOT the ultimate authority in these matters. :2thumbs:

I install the frame ball into the Z bar with the lock clip then slide it over the belhousing ball with the bushings in place  once the engine & tranny are in place
