May be adopting again
« on: June 30, 2010 - 03:30:21 PM »
On Saturday night I heard of a 72 Challenger looking for a new home. I went and took a look at it this afternoon.

1972 Cuda 340 4 barrel 4 speed that looks like a 71
2006 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona
2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel 4X4
2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible (Kidmobile)
1972 Dodge Charger 318 auto
1970 Challenger 440/727 auto
1973 Plymouth Duster 340/auto (Making it Panther Pink for the wife)
2006 Honda Civic Hybrid (It doesn't save gas, it just diverts it to the Cuda/Challenger)
In desperate need of more property for my growing Mopar family

It has all new floor pans, new truck pan, either a 360 or a 383, I'm not sure which. 8 3/4 rear end with 355s, dirty but unripped interior. New Go wing from Year One along with a few other new bits from them. Paint is 6 years old, and the white is painted on, not stick on(that will change). The guy is in need of cash right now, so he said he'll sell it to me for a ridiculously low price. As soon as I sell either my 62 Pontiac or 2006 Ram I'll be grabbing it and adding it to the stable. The wife wants a muscle car anyway

that is a small block so that eliminates the 383 possibility nice looking car the white looks good on it. hope there is a lid for the air cleaner.

there's a lid. The guy used starting fluid when he fired it up for me so he took it off. A friend of the same guy that told me about the yellow Chally has a Panther Pink Chally with a 383, so I guess I was thinking of that one. Once I have the insurance on the Cuda I'll take the wife to see the Chally so she can see what she'll be taking to shows in the future

a can or two of Rustoleum Metallic Matte Nickel (found at your nearest Lowe's) should do the trick!

Here is how I see it. Drive the Challenger and you'll soon realize that the Cuda was a girl's car all along, then pass it to your wife.

My wife can't drive standard. My plan was actually to swap the engines over so I have the big one bolted up to the 4 speed. Also, I'll need something to drive while I'm rebuilding the Cuda when I get some cars sold in Canuckistan. Once the Cuda is done, then it will be the Challengers turn, unless another Mopar needs adopting between now and then
