    Hi Guys  :wave:

    I have a clapping noise at 12-1500 rpm on my ´70 318. It souns like valvetrain noise.

    I have new lifteres and exhaust gaskets. checket all the bolts in the valvetrain.

    My engine timing says, at idle 15 degrees and 34 degrees at 3000 rpm with out vacuum, fine i think. But with vacuum it advance up to 55 degrees could that high advance be the reason for the clapping?

    Hi.

    Its still there when i unhock the vacuum. But after I have realy have fine adjustet the timing it sems to be better.

    Tighten the spring inside the vac. pot, counter clockwise to make it less sensitive with an Allen wrench.
