Stock Restorations for Show

Hey everyone,

Can I get some information for a guide to restoring a car that would be show rated such as Carlisle?  In other words; how to restore a car so that it will gleam the originality required at judged shows.

I started thinking about this because I was wondering if judged shows somehow require everthing to be original or to what extent they allow for worn out parts to be replaced by all of our favorite suppliers.

I should have mentioned I have no experience with judged car shows.

I have the fastener guide and it has been a huge help.  I don't have their restoration guide.  I will say that anything in "print" will be a "guide" only.  Every car was built different with its own characteristics.  Use the car itself as your guide whenever possible.

There is an OE class at Carlisle that is professionally judged.  The judging is based off of the ICCA guidelines.(separate from the Mopar Nationals judging body)
