Seat frame rust
« on: July 29, 2010 - 04:06:39 PM »
So I am in the middle of recovering my A100 seats. The foam looks like its molded into the frames/springs so I haven't removed the foam.

The frames are a little scaley at the bottom beneath the foam but rest of the frames look good. I am afraid to pull the foam, so do I do anything about the rust? Or should I just let it ride? I plan on having this truck a long time, I also don't plan on the seats sitting in water as it looks like they have.

What would you do?

Get that rust killer spray bomb from the parts store. Then sand it and hit it with a black spray bomb.

Good idea Jackie, I hadn't thought of spraying it.

I just wondered how important it was to take care of the rust since I may not be able to get it all if I don't remove the buns.  :misbehaving:
