Can you identify these seats ?
« on: August 29, 2010 - 06:15:59 PM »
Greetings,

I recently purchased my first Mopar, a 1970 Challenger. I know that my vehicle has the wrong seat covers at a minimum. I am unsure as to whether the actual seats / frames belong in my Challenger as well. I plan on making the interior as factory correct as possible. I am hoping that seat covers for a 1970 Challenger will fit on these seats. Any help would be appreciated.

My guess is 1970 or so  B-body covers of some sort. I am a reformed Chevy guy, meaning that I just came over to play on your team so please don't be too hard on my lack of knowledge. I have wanted a Mopar since I was a high school kid and it is a lifelong dream come true for me to finally be able to afford to own one. I recently sold my baby, a 1966 Nova, to get my hands on this Challenger. I only have the one photo for now. Thanks in advance for the help.

Can you post a photo that shows the pattern on the backs?

Also, look under the bottoms & inside both backs for broadcast sheets. You may find one or three that tell you what they were in originally.

Alaskan T/A,

Thanks for the advice regarding the broadcast sheets. I plan on doing this as soon as I take possession of the car. I don't have any other interior pictures at this time either. Thanks again.

So far from the angle you show, they look like 71 Duster seats. They use the same foam as the 70 Barracuda.
