Well, things are not going as planned ! The car was supposed to be back in my garage on the last saturday in may. A week before , Donny, the paint guy, screwed up his back and had to go in for syatic ( sp? ? ? ) nerve surgery. I was so hoping to get her back here so I could start putting her back together again. It looks like it won't be until the end of July ! I am so depressed ! :walkaway:
Its so bad, I've even started working on my kids ffffffffffffford !  :puke:

I told his wife that I am getting antsy , I want to see the progress he's making. So I'm headed up this weekend . Am I being too pushy? ? ?  :clueless:

Sometimes things take longer than you think they should.  My rear valence is still at the painters.........7 months.

What kind of progress has been made, if any?  Is it together enough that you could pull it out and take it somewhere else?

My car took seven months for paint and body and then it took them another four months to finish out the hood.  That was after a 6 month delay when the first bodyshop dumped me and forced me to find a new place (that was acutally good luck for me in the long run).  These things never go as quickly as you want.  Hang in there!

If I were you I would pull the trigger on this situation.  Make the decision to get your car back and find a new painter.  I know of a good one if you need a reliable one to go to LOL!!!  L.A. Miller Restoratons, FT Jennings  OH.  fishin4cuda is the member name.  Now Im a little bias so take it for what its worth.    :grinyes:

In all seriousness.  It dont seem like your happy.  If your not into this guy for a lot of money go get your car.  Pretty soon it will 2 years down and still no paint/no car.  I think you could have learned how to paint yourself with all the time that has gone by now, if you get my point.  Good luck with what ever you do.  I just seems like this guy has you in check and knows he can put you off for quicker jobs that will pay right then?  Like I said find a new place that will give you a real timeline and good luck bro.   :2cents:

Ouch! I don't understand body shops. I have never found one that has kept a date. My rule is take the time and and a factor of three! You have broken all the rules. unless you have been seeing a lot of progress I would bite the bullet and move on.  ???
I'm about to send " twisted fish" off for paint and partly because its the only thing I haven't done myself and partly because of problem like these I have to say I'm a little worried!  :-\
Good luck on you decision. I know it can't be an easy one.

WEll, its been about a year, and the only progress to my poor sweet miss Racheal is I got the motor and trans back in and fired her up.My step dad passed away back in Feb. and I've been making trips back and forth to Maine all summer long to take care of my mom. Kinda ate up any free time I had plus some and emptied my bank account into the negative numbers again! Well, Thats about it for Racheal for now, can't wait for muzzle loader season to open here! Lost all my meat from last year in "the historic floods" back in march. Freezer went belly up! That sucked! How's everyone been doing while I was away?

All your pics are gone so now nobody recalls what your project looked like before.
