ATTENTION!!! All AAR and T/A Owners PLEASE READ!!!
« on: October 25, 2004 - 11:07:40 PM »
Ok we have officially been given the go-ahead with this show. We were waiting to hear from Lisa at Carlisle about the show and I just talked to her today for about 2 to 3 hours and here is a quick run down.

There will be a pre-registration that will take place as soon as they have all the particulars worked out on their end so people can go to the Carlisle Web Site and pre-register. When you do so you will automatically be given a reserved spot on the field where the AAR's and T/A's will be placed this year. Along with a reserved spot you will also receive a special 9 x 12 wooden plaque specifically for the 35th AAR and T/A Reunion (ONLY THOSE WHO PRE-REGISTER) Registration fees will be the normal price but for those who pre-register you get the special plaque as well as the other goodie bag items you normally get when you register as well as a reserved spot. Also all 3 of the factory built race cars will be there and we are hoping to have both Dan Gurney and Sam Posey as well as some of their crew members too. We are also going to try and get Barry Tenin to attend this show. Barry Tenin was a photographer who took many pictures of all the 70 Trans Am Racing events of all makes and models. His archive of rare and never before seen pix will be one of the highlights of this show.  For right now I am asking people who want to pre-register for this show to email me and I will let everyone know as soon as Carlisle has their website set up to accept them. This is one event all AAR and T/A owners should make no matter what shape their car is in. It could possibly be the largest gathering of its kind ever put on in one area so we urge everyone to attend with their cars if they can. Heres my email for those who are interested in pre-registering early. transamcuda@comcast.net Thanx and hope everyone makes it this year!!!!!

Transamcuda I'm going to make the show but I'm unsure if my car can make it. By that time I should be into full restoration mode but I may consider trailering it. I'll send you an email once I have an idea where I’m at. :-\

Thanks for all your efforts on this! :)

I like the way you Trans am people have organized at Carlisle....makes me want to go out and get an AAR or T/A. I had a red/red AAR a few years back. Never owned a T/A, so they're on my list of "to Buy" Mopars.

AAR's are by far the best looking mopars ever.  That is why mine is a clone. I have the best of both worlds. good looks and lots of big block power.

cant wait to see the AAR/TA display at carlisle!!

Heres a small update!!! Sam Posey and some of his original crew members are going to be there. I also contacted the artist who did the original painting of the 42 Cuda poster sold by GoodYear in 71. Don Getz will be at the show and will be re-printing that poster to sell (no set price yet although $25 has been mentioned) and is doing another poster just for the event and will have them there as well. Also Rick Campbell of Campbells Collectibles is making limited runs of the 1:18th scale Dan Gurney and Sam Posey race cars especially for the show. SO its starting to shape up to be one of the best shows to try and make next year.  dogpile
