charcoal stripes
« on: September 07, 2010 - 04:30:06 PM »
Hey all,

Been thinking about getting a T/A stripe kit from Gary for my 2010 STR8.  My car is plum crazy and I am trying to decide on charcoal or flat black for color.  Anybody have a pic of his charcoal stripes?

Thanks

Welcome aboard here.

I'm not sure there would be much difference, and I honestly have not seen charcoal, so take this for what it's worth...

I have the matte black hood stripes and side stripes on my 2009. I really like the contrast between the shiny paint and the matte stripes when I see it in the sun. At some angles the stripes almost look silver. I'm not sure charcoal would have the same affect. I hope someone else can help with your pic request.

Thanks for the welcome!
I like the white but there is nothing else white on the car to tie it together.  The reflective black would look really tough!  Will have to look around and see who offers those.

I don't know about the stripe material, but the current charcoal paint from Dodge has a brown tint. It's really hard to get a completely neutral gray, almost impossible. If you go with the charcoal, ask Gary what the tint of the material is, or if he can send you a small sample, and see if you like it against you car.
