well, as usual my plans are changing again.
i still plan on the full blown street-fighter race rebuild, but it has been put off for at least a couple of years.
it was in direct competition with my plans to work in the states for a year or two.
so the career won out over the car, and i'm putting it off for now.

however, i will be spending the next couple of months doing a much smaller amount of work on the kuda for summer.
i've just bought a nice freshly built hot 440, and will drop that in the car along with rebuilt front suspension (1.12 bars, bilstein shocks, hotchkis sway bars),
rebuilt gearbox (still A833), and rebuilt diff.
the exterior will get a new look, taking inspiration from the factory mopar drag cars of the late 60s, with a bit of rat flavour added.
here's some concept images:

i'll go back to the flat black during winter probably.

i'm pretty damn excited. it will be nice to finally be able to say 'yep' when people ask whether my car has a 440 in it (which i get a LOT)

cheers,
aaron

oh, and here's the latest version of the future street race kuda:

hey Aaron
I see the exhaust coming through your frontfenders every time you (re)design your car, and I love the looks, but will you ever be able to get that streetlegal in NZ?  I`m sure it won`t be allowed overhere...  :walkaway:

ha ha yeah probably pretty hard to pull off here.
i was thinking they'd be "just for show" officer.
the cutout mechanism would be housed in a heat shielded panel under the bonnet, so unseen with the hood open.
just don't get busted using them open...

i plan to put a set of dmh cuttouts for this 440 rb build, and getting them through a WOF isn't always guaranteed here...

although carl runs a set on his challenger lucy, and i don't think he's had a problem.

can't wait!
i pity brooklyn, wellington.
