fuel setup needed
« on: September 01, 2010 - 11:31:53 AM »
Need some help here.   I took the Holley ProJection system off my 440 (JUNK!!!) and am going backl to carb.   I need the whole shooting match, carb pump and also need a fuel pump push rod.   Any suggestions?   How does everyone feel about the street avanger carbs?   Want a mechanical pump also.   Any input is appreciated.  Thanks

Mopar Performance FP pushrod
Fine lines fuel line
Holley Street Dominator intake
Holley(type) - 850 or greater Carb

I have been using the Proform carbs , they are the best I have found at this point
Fuel pump rods are available through Mopar but are out of stock often
Carter HV pumps seem to work ok

This is what I'm having fun with. My engine is only mildly upgraded, so if you have something crazy, you can go bigger. It has an electric choke, but you can get the race series without a choke if you want. I live where it gets cold, so I like having the choke.

The Holley electric pumps simply suck , way to loud
I have been using 850 race series Proform carbs on most 440s , the street series works well too
