so anyway, got the cordoba home today. turns out it's a 76.

after quite a bit of gas down the carb, a whole lot of cranking, some fibbleing with disconnected wires, she fired up. WOHOO!!!!!  grinyes
cut the gas line going into the fuel pump, spliced it, and dropped the hose into a gas can. lots more cranking, a little more gas down the carb, and she ran on her own.  climbed through the window, and backed it off the trailer, shredded tire and all.

parked it, and ran out of gas. got out, noticed oil slick in driveway and started to curse. looked closer, and just tranny fluid. wrecker nicked the tranny cooler line dragging it around with the forklift. guess that's why he gets paid the big bucks.

been checking things out. here's what i found so far.

chrysler cordoba special 2 door coupe

400 4barrel HI PO!!!!! thumbs

looks like it's a 727, and the way it's a 76, should be non lockup style. from what i've found so far, that's what you want.
12" pin style disc brakes, and looks like they're 1 piece cop style rotors. cha-ching. all the yards around here want ~$75 a side for the rotors/calipers/mounts for the 12" brakes. another $45 ea for the 73-6 a body spindles.
think there are 12 bolts on the rear, so probably a 9 1/4". rear is open, not locking, darn.
think i read somewhere the "b" cars and the "e" cars used the same length torsion bars. if so, i have new t-bars to replace the /6 bars in the chally.

ripped the doors, hood, trunk off already. going to get the torch out, and cut her in half.
flip the rear over, save the suspension, junk the rest. saving the cabin floor pan in case i need the tranny tunnel for the chally. rip off the front suspension, and whatever else isn't necessary to hold electroincs to run the motor. have to get it light enough so my tractor can pick it up. clean up what's left so i have a stand to bolt the motor/tranny to so i have a test bed to get it running/broken in a little after it gets rebuilt. always hated rebuilding a motor, putting it in the car, then having to do more work to it.

was happy i had found the motor i wanted. really happy with all the other stuff i'll be able to use off the car.
guess i won't have much free time this winter.  driving
at least i got the door on the shop. get the heater installed, and it'll be nice and toasty.
I found the meaning of life once, but forgot to write it down.
