speedo gear install on 833

I know there is a specail way to put the speedo gear into the trans--just not sure how. The adapter plate has three different gear tooth counts on it. Is there a mark on the trans to line up the correct gear tooth count, or does it just install pointing a specific direction (down, up, front,etc)?

If you look at your speedo housing,it says 32-38 (or other #range if appropriate to match your tooth count) on it. Next to those numbers there is a stamped "dash" or line,put that line right at this bump on the housing
(6 o'clock position of speedo hole)and your all set!
