318 Intake Maniold Question.

I have a 72 Challenger with an original 318 (2bbl carter).
I am in the process of building up a 340, in the meantime I want to put a 4bbl on the 318.
I picked up a torker II manifold (for the 340 build) and a 1850 600 Holley.
I cant really figure out if the torker II will fit on the 318 okay for the time being, due to port differences?
Any help would be appreciated.

I will take a shot at this one...
That intake will fit the 318. It will bolt right up. The problem I think you already know about is the smaller port size of the 318 heads. You will never be able to tune that thing up. Gas will puddle up at the edge of the heads and drip into the engine.

If you put on the 340 or 360 heads that intake would be fine for the job, but without the head change I would not recommend it.

Thanks for the conformation on that. I'm just going to throw on a 2bb to 4bb adapter for now, 340 should be done in a few months. Thanks

Not sure how much that 4 bbl to 2bbl adapter is going to cost but Edelbrock RPMs go for around $100 on Ebay fairly regularly, maybe more if like new.  I picked up a dirty one for a little over $100 shipped.
