Be my guest!  I'm happy to share the information.  I'm new to E body information although I've owned the car for 20 years.  I've been busy with older Mopars and finally got around to doing something with the Challenger.  Mike Volz of Rocket Restorations, after seeing my fender tag , told me the C14 option is really rare.  I couldn't find out anything else about it until I found the site. So yes, I'm happy to share! PK

Now that it has been pretty well established that C14 is a rare option, I, as the owner, would like to know HOW rare.  Can Barry or anyone else tell me if the option extended into all four years (70-74) of
E-body production or was it for 1970 only.  Also, to get a bit silly, is there a break-down as to body color, interior color etc?  Guess that I'm trying to establish if it is, heaven forbid, one of a kind. Just kidding but it would really be interesting to know all the details.  How about you other guys with this option.  What can you tell the rest of us.  PK

I believe it was optional in 70 and 71 only. Mopar did not track options by color so no you can't find that out.

Possibly less than .1 percent total as well, so it may have been listed as 0%.

There are other numbers in that list that seem 'off' so I take them with a grain of salt.

I have been going through registry files one by one & adding paint color / top type & color / stripe type & color & interior as well as transmission information & with or without console. I am also noting scarce options, that is where I found the second C14 318 car yesterday. I have about 8000 more files to go through yet, so I may find more.

Once done I can do color reports for people, there will be a fee of course, this takes a lot of time.

Barry, thanks for your reply.  Your research project sounds great.  I'm sure there must be several more rare options out there yet to be identified.  Do you have any idea of,  say-- what the top five rare options are? 
Your service is of tremendous value to the members.  As stated earlier, I sent you a donatioin in June but have yet to mail my letter of application.  After seeing the great benefit of your site to all of us I'm mailing the application immediately.  And, I will anxiously await your completed study. One option I can not find anything on at all is M48. I have two Barracuda broadcast sheets that show it, but I can not find it in any sales literature anywhere.

Thanks for the information on rear seat shoulder belts.  They are a rare option for sure but there must be some members of the web site, beside me, that have this option.  Would like to hear from you!  Look on your fender tag and see if you have code C14.  It could be there even though the belts might be missing.  PK

I wish. My challenger did not come with them. It would make installing child seats in my Challenger easier, for sure. I have contemplated getting the set that I linked, for that reason alone.
