    hi everybody

    i would like to have your opinion you cuda challenger enthusiast.

    as you know i have a 74 cuda almost all original 74 corect... so i have a question for you about your opinion of the value. I will try to ask my question clearly in english.

    so

    For you everybody if i put my rimblow steeering wheel in my cuda instead of the original steering wheel, do you think the value is dropped by this non 1974 original modification or it is a + value to have a rimblow steering in a 74 cuda.. what is your preference? and do what do you think about the effect on the value and the interest of the car..

    Is your car an all numbers matching car? What I mean is it all original engine and transmission and rear end?

    Even if it is, adding that rim-blow would just add to the value in my opinion. They are rare, but this is my opinion..   :2cents:

    the car is not a matching number car. It is the original tranny only. But the car is all 74 corect component except 1 moulding and the radiator. I will have my corect rad at end october. I have keep on my car the big 74 bumper guard... the 74 safety belt...all 74 component corect.. the 14 inch corect steel wheel...


    the only component incorect for 1974 is the rimblow and the moulding...

    so if you arrive for buy a car like my car you will more interested into the car is the rimblow is in the car or the corect 74 steering ugly steering  wheel :)

    Such modifications that can easily be changed back should not devalue the car, just keep the original piece for the future owner.

    If it was me, and I had to sell the car, I would keep the rimblow wheel and put the original back in.  Good rim blow steering wheels can sell for $1,000+ depending on the condition, and you probably would not be able to tack an extra $1K on the sale price of the car just because that was in it.

    Not sure about the pricing but I think you would do better to separate the rim blow from the car.  Would it hurt the value if you don't ...don't think so...the original steering wheels are available, and cheap.  If I'm buying a Cuda the steering wheel would be one of the last things I looked at.  There are so many things more important and that would be an easy fix.

    it is your car make it what you want , the value ahs no bearing if you are keeping the car anyway , the wheel can be swapped out in minutes anyway .
    As far as selling the car sell the wheel seperatly you will gat more value from the wheel on its own

    thanks a lot guy for your opinion. i didnt want to sell the car no way:) i just wanted to had your opinion when you look at a car show a cuda 72-74 and you say in your mind wow it keep it all original or you prefer  with another steering.. or 70-71 stripe 70-71 rally wheel center cap so a 70-71 item on a 72-74 car.. challenger or cuda......

     it is the idea of my question.. it is hard for me to explane right my idea in english sorry guys but thanks for your answer!

    I've been going through the same thing with my 73 Barracuda.  Picked it up incredibly original but in need of a major refresh so even if I replace parts with correct looking parts, some are definitely going to be reproduction.  I've swapped to 15" rallyes, but still have the original 14".  I have 72 bumpers but will be keeping the 73's with bumper guards.  I've got an original Tuff Wheel but will be keeping the original, etc. etc.  So it will be 'stock looking' more than stock, but could be easily returned to stock if needed.  Its your car right now, enjoy it.

    yeurk :) mon idée alain était plutot a me dire est ce que les gens tripent plus de voir dans un show un char entierement original ou si il prefere quand il est monté comme un autre anné....
