Alternator spacing
« on: October 04, 2010 - 06:47:27 PM »
Hello! I have a 360 that does not have A/C installed. I have the non- A/C  pulleys installed. Will the spacer, that goes between the head and the alternator, be the correct length so the alternator pulley lines up with the water putmp and the crank shaft pulley? I am asking this because I don't want to buy one that isn't the correct size. all the spacers seem to be the same size.

Measured my 340's spacing is 1.45" total, the spacer is a bit shorter than that, something in the mounting hole on the rear protrudes & makes up the difference.     Clear as mud?.

I'll measure the distance and see if the space is around 1 and 3/4. Thanks!

1.45" is just under 1 1/2"
