Quarter glass adjustment
« on: October 01, 2010 - 07:58:57 PM »
Hey all. I've got the glass all in the car now and didn't have too much trouble with adjustment until I got to the driver's side quarter. It's such that when I roll the window up, the top is too far into the car and it doesn't rest against the weather stripping. Adjusting the top out (toward the outside of the car) just pushes the glass against the fuzzy strip and the inner structure just pushes away. Adjusting the bottom in doesn't make any difference either.

I have a theory but I'm not sure. I originally couldn't find the original bolts for the quarter glass so I bought some that worked fine. I've since found them and there is a long and short bolt for each side including a spring. At least this was what was in the bag. Aside from the bolts, where does the spring go and would this affect how the glass is adjusted? I am able to push the top out when I roll it up so it will fit with some persuasion.

Any thoughts? Thanks again.

Thanks for the link. I see the adjusters and that's what I've been using, but not having much luck. I am curious about how the springs are installed with the proper bolts.
