Head gasket bore diameter questions

So I wondered with a head gasket what, if any, is the preferred bore size for a head gasket?
Is a set number, say .005" over cylinder diameter, the way to figure?
Can you, or should you ( seems like the wrong way to do it, could be wrong ) play with compression ratio by increasing gasket bore diameter?

A felpro 1009 gasket is like 4.40   .039 thick and is like a 9.9 cc . the also make a 4.380 hg size to that would be in the high 8 cc side.  If you plan on running aluminum heads on your engine, then you would want the 1009 gasket it has the wire in it, and will also help you out on bringing down the compression a little. Right now you have around a 76 cc head and a 20 thou steel gasket

with alum heads I would only use an MLS [multi layer steel ] gasket like Cometic ,otherwise the different expansion rates of iron & alum will tear the fibers in a composition gasket
