915 Heads - bolt on & go *SOLD*
« on: October 22, 2010 - 07:50:38 AM »
My first for sale post, so here we go...

915 heads, came on an engine prepped for me by MoparAl. These were went over top to bottom, but I'm going to go with aluminum.

915 closed chamber heads are great for when wanting to up your compression.
These are ready to bolt on and go!
New 2.14 & 1.81 valves
new valve guides
new locks
new freeze plugs
dual springs with a damper ( was set up to hold a 600 lift flat tappet solid cam )
Block mounting surface has been cut .010" for flatness & intake surface .015"

So you can buy a set for 250 or 300 bucks and then drop 4 or 5 hundred on getting them in shape or here we have a set ready to go.

Looking for $700. Price does not include shipping. A favor was done for me and would like to return the favor to another member if you are interested. We can talk about delivery, price, let's work out a deal.
Give me your feedback, I won't be insulted.

Thanks for your time - ask any questions!

For any prospective buyers I swapped out 906s for 915s,used the 20thou tin shim gaskets and went from an accurately measured 8.4:1 to 9.3:1 (rounded to one decimal place)
Picked up 2 tenths on the eigth mile with no other mods.

The machinist that had assembled the heads said that the set of locks & retainers given to him would not work for the load of the spring being used.
He then picked the set that are being used.

For the sake of being on the safe side because we do not know for sure I'm going to say 7 degree goods holding the valves in but they are safe for up to 600 lift on a solid cam.

I won't laugh.
The price certainly looks attractive.
If they weren't half way round the world I reckon I'd already have them.
