There are a few people who stamp the louvers instead of patching them in.

Go for it !!
One of the people who still has the original Chrysler stamp is the same guy that you bought your gills from.

I think the choice is easier for the 70-71 guys than the 72-74 guys. I actually bought all the parts; patch panels and retainers from PG and a NICE set of OEM gills off of eGag and have been sitting on them. Am still on the fence if it's too over the top for my 72.

Of course my car is a bit over the top as it is.....

Tony's parts has the patches too.  Maybe cheaper than stamping your original fenders.  However, having your original fenders stamped would be a better quality mod.
