Information wanted
« on: November 11, 2010 - 06:19:49 PM »
I'm getting ready to pull my tranny for a rebuild, while its out I'd like to see about doing something with the heads.  What I need to know is what heads are on the car now.  All I can see is 89A and a couple of clocks (if thats what you want to call them).  Heads are still on the car. Can anyone tell me what heads these are?  I was told H heads but I've never heard of such a thing.  340 engine.

No markings at the plug, nothing on the front of the head either. Any thoughts on where to look?

look towards the ends on the inside, up under the covers. You are only showing the middle.  You have casting numbers and service numbers there somewhere
