Floor Pan....3 speed vs 4 speed

Is the original floor pan/tunnel (area between the bucket seats) the same between 3 speed manual on the floor and 4 speed manual on the floor transmissions?  My 70 440 Cuda is currently a 727 auto but by the fender tag was originally a 318 with 3 speed manual on the floor transmission.  I want to put a 4 speed in it and notice that the auto to 4 speed conversion kits come with a new floor pan patch panel.  Trying to determine since my floor pan was originally a 3 speed on the floor if it will work/be the same as a 4 speed on the floor and therefore save the hassle of cutting the floor and welding in a new floor pan patch.

yes the tunnel and or the manual trans hump are the same from 3 to 4 speed.
