best source for replacement Cuda gas tank?
« on: November 22, 2004 - 02:39:06 PM »
just about to bolt my tank back up so I can drive my car to the welder and man is it a P.O.S.! All sorts of crap in it - from the filler hole I run my hand across the vent lines and they are all rusted! It aint going back in MY car.

So where is the best place to buy a new tank - looks like they run $160-$225 and up? Anyone bought from these guys?

Hey Mike, I've heard of them.  They're located here in North Georgia and are currently trying to sell their huge warehouse and acres and acres of junkyards (also on eBay...again).  I've never bought anything from them, but have been up there to see their yards.  Lots of cars.  And yeah, that's about the going rate for a gas tank.

miketyler,
I haven't bought a gas tank from them, but I have bought other things and have been satisfied. Please be sure to specify the year and make of your car when you do buy one, as they are different from year to year. For what it's worth, that buy it now was a bargain.

Rev / MEK - thanks for the responses. Yes, those guys have quite a bit of stuff. Bookmark their website, they have tons of Mopar stuff.

I ordered a tank from them and nearly bought a pair of NOS park lamp lenses but my car isnt deserving of them at $180/set!

Anyhow, hopefully I will get the car back tomorrow, do the seam sealer thing, and get the trunk ready for paint. I was thinking about chrome plating the vent tube and filler neck - whaddya think? Too over the top?  :eekbig:
