Visualizing a white longitudional stripe
« on: November 22, 2010 - 09:25:54 PM »
The fender tag is my road map for my 70 Challenger RT.  So how will it look with FJ5 and a white longitudional stripe.  I don't remember ever seeing one with this combination.  Lots of flat black stripes but not white.  Black is a much more common contrast with Sublime.  Will it look too blah with white?  PK

Yes, like the first picture  but with a Sublime top.  Guess I'll have to go to Germany to see it.  Thanks! Any others? PK

Thanks for the pictures.  Looks like there are a few cars with FJ5 and white stripe.  So for there have been three posted, all of them with a white vinyl top as well.  My fender tag says Fj5 body, white long stripe, and FJ5 top.  Anyone seen one of these?  My car has a "colored" past.  It started as Sublime, then red, then white, then red and now Sublime (will be) again.  It also had a vinyl top at one time but I don't know when.  I know this cause I "uncovered" it when going to bare metal during the restoration.  I'm surmising that the new  owner didn't like the plainness of just a white stripe and had a vinyl top installed by the dealer. I don't know what color the vinyl top was or exactly when it was removed.  The top shows no sign of rust so it may have been many years ago. My Son bought the car WHITE in 1987 and I bought it from him RED in 1990. I'm not overly impressed with the Sublime/White color scheme but like I said, the fender tag is my road map.  PK
