can i put in the subframe connectors with the whole car on jack stands? I have heard that you can and cannot. its just 1x2 tubing that i have not the weld to floor contour type. (2 stands on diff two up front)

I welded mine in on jack stands. Had to my "grocery tumor" would have gotten in the way otherwise!

I would put the stands under the suspension / axle & control arms so the chassis si loaded the same as when it is on the tires otherwise the unibody my flex & retain that position after the subframes are welded in
