Adjusting kickdown linkage

I put a new carb on and want to adjust the linkage.
Can someone tell me how or where to go to find out?
I have a Edelbrock carb Performer 750 cfm, if that makes a difference and I have the cables attached.

basically at wide open throttle the kickdown should be pulled all the way back with no play , if it takes too long to shift you can back it off slightly
