Does anybody know if my manual trans speedo cable will fit this gauge?

It will, but you will need the speedo cable from a Dodge truck.  Don't remember which one, but it's the only 5/8-18 Mopar cable that I know of.

Could have a helpful hint for you US blokes.
All Australin Valiants used the screw on type of cable to the speedo and it's the same size as autometer guages.
Not those push on plastic clip things that most US speedos seem to have.
I've got the same speedo in my 69 barracuda.
But you need to order a cable to fit a V8 auto as these were all torqueflites and suit the gbox end.
Most other cables will suit aussie borgwarner gearboxes (manual and auto)so won't suit your US boxes.
Since our steering is on the other side our cables will be a little longer than yours which may be an asset or hindrance depending on application.

Here's a link to a supplier if anyone's interested.

Or this model is about as long as you get

Take a look here, there are more pictures of my gauge cluster build.  They are mixed in there though.
