Wide Lower Winshield Molding Identification
« on: December 16, 2010 - 05:10:15 PM »
As some of you know, due to an injury and a divorce my cars have been apart for many years. When I had to move everything to where I am now, the parts for my cars and spare parts were all mixed.  I am trying to sort things out.  I have several of the lower WS moldings.  I have noticed that there are three different moldings.  I want to use the correct one on each of my cars. The pics show the three types I have.  I have identified them with names to make things easier.  I have the curved one on my 71.  I know it is original.  I saw a curved one on my neighbors 73.  My 70 6 pack Challenger has the tabbed type.  I'm not 100% sure it is original to the car. My other cars do not have the moldings with them anymore.  What is on your car?  Do you know if it is original? I am hoping to trace down what type goes with what year of Ebody.  Thank you for your help.

My 74 chally has the curved type.  I'm fairly sure its original because the windshield had a 1975 parking decal on it.

I looked at another 70 that has original paint on it.  It has the tabbed style like my 70.  Maybe the curved is for 71 up.  But where does the flared style fit in? All the cars I have looked at are Hamtramck cars.
