Old 4 speed question
« on: December 13, 2010 - 09:50:45 PM »
I got a four speed trans that is an older one that has the 4 bolts at the end of the tail shaft.  Can this be changed over to be used with a slide in yoke?

By the time you did all the swapping out of parts, I would assume (Providing it's even possible), you'd have replaced everything cept the gears and main case..Not worth it, just find a Slip yoke trans..This is why that trans is so cheap....Same thing with the 727 Auto in these years as well, but I know they can be swapped around and changed on the auto's..
