    i have the convo pro gauges insert and want to install autometer cobalt gauges. i was told you can get a sensor to replace the gear drive in the tranny [727]. is this true, all i can find is an adapter that goes on the end of the speedo cable.

    it plugs into where the speedo cable goes on the transmission

    Autometer part number 5291, hall effect speedometer sensor.

    o.k thanks, thats the one i thought actually went from cable to electric, i didn't realize it went into the tranny.
