Not sure about my Challenger as it only has 3,300 miles with no problems so far (knock on wood) but I had an SRT8 Charger with 50K before I traded it in with zero problems and have an 08 SRT8 Grand Cherokee with 43K miles and other than a new transfer case it has been perfect.  Pretty impressed with the reliability of the 6.1L engine (and I do drive the Grand Cherokee hard)

A new transfer case on a 08 Jeep ?  Hmmm, that does not impress me at all.  How can you be happy about that ?

The transfer case was replaced because I was experiencing some stick slip with the clutches in cold temperatures in tight turns.  Most people would have lived with it but I am a little particular.  What I can say is that I love this Jeep and I think it is even more fun to drive than the Challenger (stock) and is for sure faster.  Plus it works great on the snow!

Two of my club members. One an '09 R/T (40k) the other an '09 SE (37K). Both have been reliable as the day is long. The R/T owner frequently takes his to the track. He has run a PB 12.45 then bolted his street tires back on and drove the 1-1/2 hour trip home getting 25mpg.

We have a 2006 charger 3.5 with 79,000 on it. timing chain tap when cold( very loud and sounds more like valves) and transmission has just started a new thing with cold mornings.Has to run for at least 2 minutes before it will move properly.feels as stuck in a higher gear . also have periodically had service engine light connected to the intake runner solenoids(not cheap!) also very few times where the wife says every light on the instrument cluster lights up,she turns car off and it all resets. knowing how the old 3.5`s were in the old lh cars I can say I knew better, but we still love the way it looks and rides. If to do over then an r/t would be in the driveway.
I will finish a project.I will finish a project. I will finish a project.

We have an 05 Magnum r/t with 99k miles. The motor and transmission has been great....BUT the suspension on this thing is horrible (I loathe the man that designed it, due to the cost of upper ball joints and difficulty of maintenance). We have (in just the last few months) replaced the rear hubs, front hubs, front upper ball joints (meaning control arm), front lower ball joints, both outer tie rod ends. And while that has solved the majority of the problems I still have an annoying clunk in the front end when going over bumps occasionally (not nearly as often as I used to with the worn down ball joints and such). So I figure since I have come that far with the suspension I might as well do the sway bar bushings (look decent but have some cracking in them) and the shocks while I'm at it to finish it off.

I'm not sure about the challenger but if they have the same suspension on them that the magnum does, I'd be prepared to toss out some $ when you need to start replacing bushings and ball joints. My main complaint is that you need to replace the whole upper control arm to replace the upper ball join. Cost me $150 a side.

I am thinking about buying a New 2011 Challenger (V6 300 HP)..Just want to know how the 2008-2010 Challengers are holding up...ANY issues ??
I spent a bunch of time researching TSB's and recalls on the challenger before buying one. There are very few issues with them. The LX platform is well sorted out by now. If you were to wait until the 2011's are out, I'm sure the prices on the 2010's will go through the floor or a used 2010 (they are out there) would be reasonable. For the price of a certified pre owned R/T through chrysler, I was able to get an SRT8 from another dealer. Either way, it's a really neat car and I drive it every day.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Interesting you mention the front end.  I know someone with a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 that has had multiple issues with the front end.  His basic thought is that you have to replace the whole front end every couple of years...  :faint:

Mopar Muscle Magazine did a acticle on those LX platforms and showed a whole nightmare of problems and the corrective fixes.
