a518 trans mount
« on: January 07, 2011 - 11:43:05 PM »
I am gathering the parts to do the A518 swap. From what everyone has said, I need to get a rubber trans mount from a camaro. My question is; Which Camaro? The parts store will ask me what year and what trans. I am pretty sure it is either/or a th350, or 700r4 mount, but I still don't know if it is 1st 2nd or 3rd gen camaro. Thanks

The one I used is the energy suspension urethane one, it's the only one on the shelf at AutoZone (I think it's the only one they make). Elongate the holes a little (towards the inside) and it will bolt up to the 518 extension housing, then get the driveshaft angle back to stock and make a new bracket to fit on your old crossmember or make a new crossmember.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
