Full trunk pan replacement?

Hey Fellas.  I purchased a Cuda that was a race car at one time.  The last guy gave up on it.  A little more work than he expected.  First task I am going to tackle is repairing the trunk pan.  It had a fuel cell in it which the last owner removed.  He gave me a two piece replacement from year one.  My question to you all is should I replace the whole trunk pan or just patch it.  The entire pan is solid except for the big hole in the center where the cell was.  I also noticed that the factory did a horrible job attaching the extensions.  I attached pictures to give you an idea what it looks like.

I'd replace the whole thing,that hole is just way too big,plus there are too many drilled holes

I agree...  Replacing the whole thing would be a better fix.

Thanks for the replies.  I will replace it.  The small holes you see are from the spot weld cutter I used to remove the tank braces that were cut.  I see the spot welds on the top of the frame rails which seems pretty easy to cut and separate.  How do you cut the welds to the extensions and the wheel wells?   I appreciate your advice.  You guys are great.

same way if you can get the spot weld cutter in there. other way is to use a die grinder or a cut off wheel, 1/8 or 1/4 disc will work. these are agressive so do a little at a time on the weld point only.
